Students listened to a rock band and motivational speaker who told us the story of his son’s brave recovery from a life threatening medical problem. He encouraged all students to be clear about choices they make each day. Little things can add up. What we do now directly affects future dreams for us and our community and families.
Another speaker spoke about the power of words. Kind words can direct a person towards positive decisions and a better life. Everyone is valuable. All of us together can make our community a better place to live by making better choices.
AlBrook Band students participated in a Regional Event for musicians attending schools in NorthEastern Minnesota. Area master musicians served as Judges. These Judges listened to each Band and then offered their professional critique. Students appreciated the information as they are very interested in playing better (and sounding their best!).

AlBrook held it’s 1st Annual Robofest on March 13th. The seven teams participating took on the challenge of building, programming and competing to create a small VEX robot that could move through a series of obstacles successfully moving some while not touching others. Groups received points accordingly.
Many students have met to work on their robots before and after school with Mr. Lindner and Mr. Ray assisting as needed. Additional community support and expertise from parents and professionals was appreciated. In particular we would like to thank ISD2142 Indian Education and Lowana Greensky, gidakiimanaaniwigamig and Holly Pellerin as well as the University of MN Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power for their generous support of a our students.
